What a result does and does not tell you
A code groups a part with the vehicles it may share that part with. Verified means an OEM part number or a fit report backs the grouping. Inferred means it was matched from vehicle specifications and still needs confirmation. Neither is a promise that a part will physically fit your vehicle.
Inferred results cover a limited run of model years on purpose. A manufacturer can keep the same engine size or lamp shape across a restyle and still change the bracket, the connector or the mounting. Always confirm the OEM number and the identification tag on the part itself.
Your responsibility
- Check the OEM number, the tag, the specifications and the vehicle application before you buy, sell, ship or install anything.
- Have engines, transmissions and headlamps fitted by a qualified person. Electrical and lighting work affects road legality and safety.
- Where a part is safety-related, or its failure could cause damage, treat any online result as a starting point rather than an answer.

If you spot a result that looks wrong, please send it in — a correction helps everyone who uses the code afterwards.
